To be more specific as based on the readings, it means to use writing to make scientific, technical, and practical knowledge available to a variety of audiences. There are many formats that can fall under the title of technical writing. Some examples of these are proposals, letters, resumes, manuals, web sites, and the list of other documents continues to go on.
