COLLABORATIVE PORJECT PROPOSAL

TO: Dr. Fishman, Professor
FROM: Hayden Willis, Pamela Pryor, Kristy Erwin
DATE: June 1, 2005
SUBJECT: Website Design for Dr. Oscar Lovelace Jr.

Because Dr. Oscar Lovelace Jr. lacks the resources to hire a professional group of web designers, I propose that our group will create a suite of web pages for his campaign for Governor of South Carolina. The purpose of this website would be to inform voters of Oscar’s views, and also to get his name out to the public. The website would also be a place for supporters to give donations, make comments about the campaign, and get involved. The website would include recent news, a biography, platform/issues, and upcoming events. The name of the organization is Lovelace For Governor 2006.

Background/History

Oscar Lovelace Jr. has recently launched his campaign seeking the Republican nomination for Governor opposing incumbent Mark Sanford. He feels that running for Governor is the only way to have a major impact on the issues he finds important. His major issues that he includes on his platform are Tobacco tax legislation, Healthcare reform and Education. Oscar Lovelace Jr. is a current resident of Chapin, South Carolina. He practices family medicine in Newberry County. Oscar is a Clemson graduate, in which he was president of the student body. He has not held any political office but has served on many advisory committees. He is currently the chairmen of the Task Force on Healthcare for South Carolina.
