Response to definition by Kinsey and Bobby
Kinsey and Bobby defined technical writing very accurately with many good points. I liked their definition describing technical writing as being “clear and concise.” I also liked the way they described the format of the writing as being in an “appealing format that draw’s the reader’s attention.” They went on to say that you can use “charts, graphs, pictures, and other tools” to appeal to the reader. Though there is nothing I disagree with in their definition, I wish that they had mentioned how technical writing will affect them in their own careers. If they had mentioned their careers, they then could have expanded on how “technical writers work closely with engineers, medical researchers, or other professionals” since they just briefly mentioned it. I thought they did a good job defining technical writing and gave good examples of how to become a successful technical writer.
