I believe this interview was informative and interesting at the same time. I can understand how it would be difficult to communicate with a patient that is frantic. Strong communication and patience seem to be the most important qualities to have when handling these types of stressful situations. Personally, I would not be able to handle the situation, so I believe I will leave that up to doctors and nurses like Dr. Terrigno. I too was suprised that he made no mention of the written communication he faced. It seems that this would supply adequate background information necessary to diagnose the right illnesses. Apparently the communication between doctor and patient outweighs the symptoms listed on a sheet of paper.
