Progress of Individual Project

I feel that the writing of my first draft for the individual project went very well. I was very worried when I sat down to write it because I was afraid that I would not be able to fulfill the length requirement. However, I was very excited to discover that I have more experience with technical writing than I realized. I started to think back about my previous summer internships and remembered that a lot of the work that I had done was technical writing. At work, I had been instructed to complete these writing tasks following the exact procedures that had been recommended in my interview. This experience with technical writing allowed me to further explain my definition and ideas for a new technical writing course.

I have structured my investigative report in the form of a memorandum. I have divided the memo into 5 different sections: technical writing, course requirements, my experience, course topics, and conclusion. I feel that these sections strongly outline the main points that are needed to present this report to the committee. I was pleased with my first draft and I hope to add to it with further research and new details.
