Progress for Individual Project

So far, I have been able to sit down with three individuals who have different professions in the legal field: an attorney, a real estate paralegal, and a legal secretary. Each of these individuals has a different job from the other, but I have learned that they share similar experiences with respect to writing. I have also discovered that writing and communicating is one of the most important aspects of their professions. Although, I was fully aware that being an attorney is nothing like Matlock, I still didn't realize how important the ability to communicate with clients and other professionals is for someone in a legal profession.

I plan to set my report up by stating my purpose in writing the report. I will begin by giving a detailed definition and description of technical writing. Then, I will give examples of how technical writing is involved in legal studies and explain how a course in technical writing would benefit a student's future career after graduation. I will be incorporating the information from the interviews as well as the information from class and blogger into my report.
