Progress for Individual Project 1

I feel that my progress is going smoothly. I was able to incorporate a lot of information from different sources. I have information from my interview as well as others in this class. Also, I was able to put my definition of technical writing and my experiences in the report. I did some outside research as well through the internet to build my facts strength even stronger. I was only able to manage 4 pages instead of 5. Eventhough, it is only 4 pages I do feel that it is a strong 4 pages built with facts and personal experiences. Overall, I am satisfied with my report with the progress I have made with the report in such a short time span.

I have broken my report into several sections as follows: What currently exist as far as technical writing in the engineering world, My own experiences, What the field requires, Preparation needed for students, How to be successful as a technical writer in engineering, Real life examples, and then Conclusions. I think this report into my field has really helped me out. I did not realize how important technical writing was in engineering. I guess it was more less just ignorance because now looking back it just makes sense that an engineer would need technical writing skills. But through the interviews and research I have done, I have learned much of what I have to look forward to.

I also have a question about individual project 1. We have just turned in the rough draft, what do we need to be doing now towards the final due two weeks from today?
