3rd Individual Post- Jenna's Interview, David's Collaborative Post, and Emma's Interview
Jenna's Interview
I completely agree with Jenna when she said that on-site experience is the best preparation for any future career. Also the on-site experience can help you decide if the type of work you are doing is what you really want to do. This lets you experience it before its too late and you really didn't want to work in the field you thought you did.
David's Collaborative post
I agree with David when he says that technical writing should quickly and clearly make a point so that the reader is not left confused. Also David said that it is important to not to use big words or general, I feel that if this happens the writer has probably accomplished the complete opposite of his or her original goal.
Emma's Interview
It is interesting to hear how other fields will use technical writing in their professions. Emma mentioned as well as Jenna, that experience is the best preparation for any kind of work in the future. I didn't think the 500 lab reports I have done would ever turn up in my actual work when I become a doctor. This is not the case for Emma. She lab reports that she writes are great exercise for her profession. Also she said that you need to be able to effectively show your results, I think if you can't effectively show your results, you might as well not have done the experiment. This is a very good point that Emma brought up.
