2nd Interview

For this interview I chose another family friend that is a doctor. Dr. Kavolus is a orthopedic surgeon. I choose to interview Dr. Kavolus because I want to be an orthopedic surgeon just like him. The conversation was very similar to the other doctor that I interviewed. When asked about what kinds of communication he dealt with on a day to day basis, he said mainly doctor patient communication. He commented that this is probably the most important part of his day activities. He said that his social skills help him out greatly when speaking with patients. Dr. Kavolus mention that being able to talk easily with the patient makes it easier and quicker to determine the problem. 

As for technical writing, he said that he didn't encounter to much technical writing on the job besides writing up the what happened with the surgery. He said that he uses pictures and models to show what he will be doing with the surgery.
