Since i might go into the golf bussiness after i graduate, i decided to interview the head professional at the golf course i am working this summer, Jimmy Williams. When i asked him what kind of writing and communication he used in his line of work, he told me he mostly wrote memos and just told his employees what to do. He said he writes e-mails on occasion but not to offten. When i asked him how he learned to communicate with his employees, he told me he just picked it up. I asked him if he would have rather had a class that showed him how to communicate with his employees and colleagues and he said it would have made his job a lot easier in the beginning.
