Advice for future students

My advice for students enrolled in English 314 is to be aware of all the assignments and the due dates. It is a fast-paced course which involves a lot of planning and communication with not only the professor but also classmates. After completing the course you will be able to write a variety of documents such as memos and resumes. I felt as though this class helped me significantly in getting more involved with my future career. Having to interview a professional in my field not only got me to see a better picture of what type of job I could be pursuing in the future but I also was able to compile a list of contacts whom I met with, where I then might be able to use those contacts while looking for jobs after graduation. Even though this course requires a lot of time and effort during the summer, I am glad that I was able to learn a great deal especially with figuring out what direction I want to head with my career.
