Dear Mrs. Owens:
I am a Psychology Major with a minor in Legal Studies at Clemson University. In the future, I would like to obtain a job working with the Department of Social Services or with the Pickens County Courts. As I am preparing to enter the working world, I have begun to think about the training and experience I must have to obtain a job in the above-mentioned fields. I understand that you have quite a bit of expertise and experience working with the Pickens County Guardian Ad Litem and the Greenville County Court System.
I would like to set up and appointment with you at your office to gain some insight into the requirements and preferences that job applicants must have to obtain a job with the Pickens County Court System. I am not asking for a job, only a 15 minute consultation in which you could give me some advice and information about my current credentials. I would greatly appreciate the oppurtunity to meet with you.
I will contact your office next week to speak with you about scheduling an appointment.

Good job. You may want to tighten up the sentence where you explain what you want. How about more like:
"I am writing to you to request a short appointmentin hopes that you will share with me some insight about how best I can prepare myself for these jobs" or something? Other than that, you're good!
