How to: On how to post the site like I did
Ok, i am going to attempt to walk one through how to post the site like I did using blackboard. I tried to make it as easy as possible and there are probably more steps than needed-but i did it to be on the safe side.
1. Log onto Blackboard
2. Look at the tabs at the top (you should see MYCLEclemson, Courses, worksgroups, etc). Click on the Content Collection tab.
3. you should see a list of options (such as web folder, item, folder, etc). Click on the Item button.
4. Find the file you want to share using the browse button. Be sure under number 2 you bubble the "no" option and under number 3 you bubble the "shared" option.
5. Click submit
6. You should now see your folder under content collection.
7. Under the list of options (such as web folder, item, folder, etc), you will see(but your user name instead)
Location: /users/dtfloyd
Click on the word "users"
8. You should see your user ID next to a folder-click the hand under "permissions" that is on the same line.
9. On the top bar with "add users" and "remove" in the far right is a search bar. Make sure course user list is highlighted and click "Go"
10. Check the box with "Summer08TechWritingOnline (tfishma-07online314)" under number 1
Under number 2, check the box "all course users" Under 3, make sure "read" is checked. Now click submit. This should take you back the the content collection main page.
11. look at the list of options (such as web folder, item, folder, etc) Click on web folder.
12. Copy that link. Now post that link how we discussed in class on the weblog (with the globe button) and you should be done.
Let me know if i need to clarify something. Hope this helps
