Org. History: Hilary & Lindsay

Habitat for Humanity International is a non-profit service organization that focuses on building and rebuilding homes for the underprivileged that otherwise may not have a place to live. Since it was founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity has built and rebuilt over 200,000 houses.
The idea for Habitat for Humanity was born in a small Christian farming town in Georgia. Two people, Clarence Jordan and Linda Fuller, worked together with families to build homes from the ground up. In order to fund these projects, the families that inhabited the houses were put on payment plans to cover only the expense incurred during the building process (no labor charges). Families are also offered no interest loans and donations of supporters.

Can you say more about the local history? When did this habitat group get started, where do they (specificlly this group) get their funding? And who do they target as far as recruitment--each group has it's unique set of challenges.
