Dear Ms. Roegee,
My name is Tammy Smith; I have been an Associate Degree nurse for 19 years. I am a senior in the BSN program at Clemson University preparing to graduate in December 2005. I am contacting you because of the wonderful job you have done with the AnMed Health Women’s and Children’s Hospital. You are very influential person among the executive team at AnMed Health and would be an excellent person for me to talk to about the best ways to complete my preparation for a future position in management. I would like to make an appointment to meet with you for advice and information regarding preparing myself for a future position in management with AnMed Health. I know that management in the nursing field is very competitive and I would like to the correct steps to prepare myself professionally to take on additional responsibilities in preparation. Please understand, I am only asking for information and advice, not for a position. I should only require 15-20 minutes of you time for this session during which I will be asking for your advice on the path I need to follow to make myself a more attractive candidate for jobs with additional responsibility when one becomes available.

I will call you office next week to make an appointment with your assistant. Thank you for your consideration and time in this matter. I hope to meet with you soon.
