Resume

Since formatting on blogger can skew the actual visual elements on my resume, I have re-typed my resume to reflect the information only, and not the formatting. I will try to detail some of the placement of the items as I detail the arrangement.

My resume begins with my full name at the top and centered. My name is the largest element on the resume. Underneath my name, also centered, is my contact information.I begin with a general objective of what I am trying to accomplish. This objective would change for each job I will be pursuing, so I applied a general objective of applying what I know at a job. The next section is my education history. The next section is my work experience. I organized this section in a reverse chronological order, because the most relevant work experience that I have is the most recent. Companies may not be interested in the fact that I was a summer nanny before I came to school, but they do want to know who I interned with while I was attending school. My past jobs as listed through the company, place, title, and tasks. All of the above has been listed. The last section is Honors and Awards sections. Here I can highlight my achievements with my scholastics, such as the Dean’s List, as well as my involvement in other organizations outside of the classroom and the work field. It also is a good way to display any leadership roles that I held. The honors and awards are also in a list format.
