Collaborative project?
Hi,
I was wondering if the collaborative project can be on any problem that a non-profic org. has? Also on our syllabus it says that the proposal is due today? I thought in class you said it was due on monday? What if our org. is not going to get back to us until Friday?

Your project can be addressing any communication-related need that the organization you work with has--so perhaps they need some advertising done, and (together) you decide on an ad campaign where you design a few posters, a newspaper ad, and a radio spot--that would be one kind of project. Another group might need an updated website and something to draw attention to it, like bookmarks that are handed out at the library. That would be another kind of project. And maybe a third organization needs a handbook to be written--that would be another kind. What you do will depend on what the organization needs, but it should be something that is clearly technical communication, as defined in the pieces you just read about it. I hope that helps. I forgot to address your question about due dates. The proposals were due Thursday, and your first draft of the individual projects are due Monday. Sorry if there was confusion on that.
